Some time ago, I found this early Twentieth Century image of the reredos replaced in the recent renovation. Rawlings hypothesizes it was taken from a nearby church, probably Stratton Major.

Dear Anonymous,
We need to make a trip to Blandsford Church in Petersburg. It has the most interesting grave stones and epitaphs I have found in the state.

Dear Anonymous,
I plan a trip to visit Blandford and points west in a week or so. If you are interested in going, email me here.

I photographed the reredos from St Johns in the early '70's? and shortly afterwards it was removed and sold to a church in the Norfork/Hampton area. I have heard it was St John's Hampton but have never been in it to confirm.
The sandstone base for the font at St John's King Wm. is a really early (17th c?) fragment.
